In the third quarter of 2024, Croatia's social app landscape saw varying performances among the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for TikTok, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit.

TikTok from TikTok Pte. Ltd. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting with approximately $52K in early July and ending the quarter near $54K. Weekly downloads began at around 11K in July and gradually decreased to about 7.2K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, hovering around 660K throughout the quarter.

Threads, developed by Instagram, showed consistent download activity, with numbers peaking at 13K in early September. The app's active users steadily increased from 74K in early July to over 93K by the end of September, indicating growing engagement despite generating no revenue during this period.

Instagram maintained a moderate revenue stream, with weekly earnings fluctuating around $6K to $9K. Weekly downloads saw a decline from 7.8K in July to approximately 4.6K by the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, active user numbers remained robust, consistently surpassing 700K.

Facebook, by Meta Platforms, Inc., recorded a modest revenue range between $600 and $1.4K weekly. Downloads started at 5.6K, reached a high of 6.4K in early September, and then dipped to 4.4K at the end of the quarter. The platform sustained a large active user base of over 2.3M throughout the quarter.

Reddit showed minimal revenue, with figures mostly under $100 each week. Downloads peaked at 3.3K in July before declining to 1.6K by September's end. However, active users saw an upward trend, increasing from 140K in early July to 158K at the quarter's close.
